Desde “Train to Busan” hasta “Parasite”, las películas coreanas han ganado éxito y reconocimiento a nivel mundial en los últimos años. 1. Malmoe: The Secret Mission (말모이) (2019)
This movie is set in colonial Korea during the 1940s, the time when the Japanese colonial government banned using and learning Korean. To protect the Korean language and characters, the representative of the Korean Language Society, Ryu Jung-hwan (Yoon Kye-sang), leads the society members to secretly collect dialects from different parts of Korea and unify the spelling of Korean to make a dictionary for the Korean language. He later meets an illiterate called Kim Pan-su (Yoo Hae-jin), and the two join forces to publish the first Korean language dictionary with the society members despite the oppressive rule of the colonial government.
《機密行動：我們的辭典》以1940年代日治時期的韓國為背景，那時日本殖民政府大力禁止使用和學習韓語。爲了保存韓語和韓國文字，朝鮮語學會的代表柳政煥（尹啟相飾）帶領學會成員秘密收集全國各地的方言，並統一韓文的拼寫法，以編篡屬於韓語的辭典。他其後在因緣際會下結識了一位名爲金判秀（柳海真飾）的文盲，二人在殖民政府的高壓統治下與學會成員披荊斬棘，幾經辛苦最終完成了史上第一本韓語辭典。
Esta película está ambientada en la Corea colonial durante la década de 1940, cuando el gobierno colonial japonés prohibió usar y aprender coreano. Para proteger el idioma y los caracteres coreanos, el representante de la Sociedad del Idioma Coreano, Ryu Jung-hwan (Yoon Kye-sang), dirige a los miembros de la sociedad a recopilar en secreto dialectos de diferentes partes de Corea y unificar la ortografía del coreano para hacer un diccionario para el idioma coreano. Tiempo después, conoce a un analfabeto llamado Kim Pan-su (Yoo Hae-jin), y los dos unen fuerzas para publicar el primer diccionario del idioma coreano con los miembros de la sociedad, a pesar del régimen opresivo del gobierno colonial.
This movie demonstrates the bravery and perseverance of Koreans in protecting their mother tongue and made me reflect on the importance of language to one’s cultural and national identity. Also, the parts where the Korean Language Society received thousands of letters from people across Korea sharing their dialects and showing support to the society members, and when Pan-su brings friends from different parts of Korea to help Jung-hwan in recording dialects across Korea are really touching.
這部電影體現了韓國人守護母語的勇氣和毅力，同時令我反思了語言對一個人的文化和國家身份認同的重要性。此外，電影講述了朝鮮語學會收到成千上萬封來自全國八道，關於各地方言和向學會表達支持的信件。後來判秀更帶了多名來自不同地方的朋友，幫助政煥記錄方言。這兩個場面也使我十分動容。
Esta película demuestra la valentía y la perseverancia de los coreanos en la protección de su lengua materna y me hizo reflexionar sobre la importancia del idioma para la identidad cultural y nacional. También, las partes en las que la Sociedad del Idioma Coreano recibió miles de cartas de personas de toda Corea que compartían sus dialectos y mostraban su apoyo a los miembros de la sociedad. Además, cuando Pan-su trae amigos de diferentes partes de Corea para ayudar a Jung-hwan a registrar dialectos en todo Corea. Todos estos momentos son realmente conmovedores.
2. Escape from Mogadishu (모가디슈) (2021)
This action movie is based on a real historical event set in 1991 in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, during the Somalia Civil War. At that time, the South and North Korean embassies in Somalia were lobbying to be admitted into the United Nations and competing for the Somali government’s support. However, as the war started to spread to Mogadishu, embassy workers from other countries fled one by one, leaving the embassy workers and family members of the two Koreas trapped in this city of hell. It forces the two rival parties to cooperate to escape the war-torn country.
《逃出摩加迪休》是一部取材自真實歷史事件的動作電影。故事的背景設於1991年索馬里首都摩加迪休，當時正值索馬里内戰，同時駐索馬里南北韓大使正在爭取索馬里政府的支持，以獲得加入聯合國的資格。但隨著戰火正向摩加迪休蔓延，其他國家的大使館職員已經一一撤退，剩下南北韓的大使館的職員仍然被困在這個人間煉獄。這使雙方被迫暫時放下針鋒相對的立場，背著兩國政府暗中聯合，以設法逃出這個被戰火蹂躪著的國家。
Esta película de acción está basada en un hecho histórico real ambientado en 1991 en Mogadiscio, la capital de Somalia, durante la Guerra Civil de Somalia. En ese momento, las embajadas de Corea del Sur y Corea del Norte en Somalia presionaban para ser admitidos en las Naciones Unidas y competían por el apoyo del gobierno somalí. Sin embargo, cuando la guerra comenzó a extenderse a Mogadiscio, los trabajadores de las embajadas de otros países huyeron uno por uno, dejando a los trabajadores de las embajadas y familiares de las dos Coreas atrapados en esta ciudad del infierno. Obliga a las dos partes rivales a cooperar para escapar del país devastado por la guerra.
This movie nicely depicts how the South and North Korean embassy members were suspicious of each other at the beginning of the cooperation but gradually built trust and worked hand in hand to escape from Mogadishu, which is very moving. But it broke my heart when the North and South Korean embassy members had to pretend they didn’t know each other after they got off the plane and could never see each other anymore. And on top of that, the action scene of the embassy members driving to the Italian embassy while the rebels chase after and firing gunshots toward them is incredibly intense and amazing.
這套電影仔細地描寫了南北韓大使館的職員由最初互相猜忌，到後來逐漸建立信任，携手逃出摩加迪休，這個過程十分令人感動。但由於當時南北韓正處於敵對的關係，因此最後雙方離開飛機後要裝作互相不認識，并且從此不能再與對方相見，實在讓我感到很無奈和痛心。另外，電影後段兩國大使館職員駕車前往意大利大使館的途中在槍林彈雨下被叛軍追逐的動作場面也十分精彩刺激。
Esta película muestra muy bien cómo los miembros de las embajadas de Corea del Sur y del Norte sospechaban unos de otros al comienzo de la cooperación, pero gradualmente generaron confianza y trabajaron de la mano para escapar de Mogadiscio, lo cual es muy conmovedor. Pero me rompió el corazón cuando los miembros de la embajada de Corea del Norte y Corea del Sur tuvieron que fingir que no se conocían después de bajar del avión y no volver a verse nunca más. Y además de eso, la escena de acción de los miembros de la embajada conduciendo hacia la embajada italiana mientras los rebeldes los persiguen y les disparan es increíblemente intensa y sorprendente.
3. The Host (괴물) (2006)
Regarded as one of the most popular and highest-grossing South Korean films, “The Host,” directed by the acclaimed director Bong Joon-Ho, perfectly combines satire, black humor, and an emotional family movie with the perfect amount of a classic monster horror. “The Host,” tells the story of Park Gang-du (Sang Kong-Ho), a father and vendor who tries to rescue her daughter (Go Ah-Sung) from a creature that emerged from the Han River seven years later after careless American military dumped chemicals into the river.
《駭人怪物》是韓國史上其中一套最受歡迎和收穫最高票房的電影。這部電影由奉俊昊執導，完美結合了諷刺、黑色幽默、和親情，並融合了恰到好處的經典怪獸恐怖電影情節。它講述了2000年在韓國龍山基地內，一名美軍科學家把兩百罐過期的甲醛倒入漢江，令水質變異。六年后，漢江出現了到處吃人的怪物。朴江斗（宋康昊飾）正在上初中的女兒朴賢瑞（高我星飾）被怪物綁架，於是與家人一起為了救回賢瑞與怪物展開了殊死搏鬥。

4. The Closet (클로젯) (2020)
After Sang-Won (Ha Jung-woo) loses his wife in a terrible accident, Sang-Won decides to move to a new house in the countryside with his daughter Yi-Na (Heo Yool) to restore their relationship. Despite all his efforts, Yi-Na keeps her attitude until she tells her dad she has made a new friend. Since that day, Yi-Na started to laugh, but suddenly Sang-Won heard strange noises and noticed how her daughter’s behavior changed. Until one day...she disappears.
《陰櫥》講述自從妻子過世後，尚元（河正宇飾）決定帶着女兒怡娜（許律飾）搬到鄉下，以修復彼此的關係。但無論尚元多努力向女兒示好，她的態度仍然十分冷漠。直到有一天，怡娜跟尚元說她結識了新朋友。從那天起，怡娜開始展露笑容，但尚元突然聽到奇怪的聲音，並發現女兒的行爲發生了巨大的改變。直至有一天，怡娜在衣櫥前消失了......
Después de que Sang-Won (Ha Jung-woo) perdiera a su esposa en un terrible accidente, Sang-Won decide mudarse a una nueva casa en el campo con su hija Yi-Na (Heo Yool) para restaurar su relación. A pesar de todos sus esfuerzos, Yi-Na mantiene su actitud hasta que le dice a su padre que ha hecho una nueva amiga.
