The study cafe is a shared study place that provides a comfortable environment and a quiet atmosphere for students, job seekers and workers to focus solely on studying and working.
Most cafes have different types of rooms. There are small rooms for individual who want to focus strictly; there are larger rooms for group study and meetings. The arrangement of desks differs from cafe to cafe. Some cafes also make sure that your desk is in such a way that you can view other students studying, thus making sure that you stay motivated.

You can pay hourly, monthly or even yearly. Some cafes also give you the option of buying a beverage to equate to a certain amount of hours in the cafe.

My experience in study cafe

I am used to studying at home so it was a little bit unfamiliar to me because the atmosphere in the study cafe was so quieter than my expectation. Later, I realised that, it was at the study cafe where I could concentrate much more. After two hours sitting and studying at the cafe, I finished my assignments that would have taken me two days to complete.
My friend, who registered for the place monthly, recommended this cafe to me when I told her I was bored of studying at home. The price for booking in an hour is equivalent to the price of a cup of coffee, about 5000 to 6000 won; but the place gives me a distinctive atmosphere and a new spirit to study. 저는 주로 집에서 공부하기 때문에 스터디카페의 분위기가 생각보다 너무 조용해서 조금 낯설었습니다.
하지만 어쨌든, 이곳은 제 집중력이 가장 높은 곳에 도달한 좋은 장소입니다.
카페에 앉아서 두 시간 동안 배운 후에, 저는 제가 끝마치는데 이틀이 걸렸을 숙제를 끝냈습니다.
매달 등록했던 친구가 집에서 공부하는 게 지루하다고 하자 이 카페를 추천해줬어요. 1시간 후 예약하는 가격은 커피 한 잔의 가격과 맞먹는 5000~6000원 정도지만, 그곳은 신선한 분위기와 새로운 공부 정신을 선사합니다.
