The Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival is held every year in Alps Village, a tourist rural village where you can relieve stress and recharge your energy. In Chilgapsan, children can make wonderful memories with the numerous ice sculptures of familiar characters, and couples can enjoy the night scenery Chilgapsan offers when the dusk arrives - perfect as a winter date course.

Opening Hours: Daytime hours: 9am to 6pm
Nighttime hours: 6pm to 10pm

Directions: Takes about 3 hours to get from Seoul. There are two ways of getting there:
By Car (most convenient, and is about a 2 hour drive)
By Bus, from Central City Bus Terminal (takes about 3 hours, costs 22000won for a round trip)
Things to see: Ice Fountains, Ice and Snow Sculptures, Night Scenery
Things to do or play: Ice and snow sledding, Ice Bobsleigh
Things to eat: Roasted sweet potatoes, roasted chestnuts, corn, cafe (You can also experience roasting the chestnuts yourself! Chestnut roasting experience: 5000won)
