Everytime is an all-in-one app that provides timetables, cafeteria schedules, school facilities information, and much more! Currently, it’s ranked #1 for apps downloaded by university students. I personally use it to plan my timetable before I register for any classes, and no other app is as amazing as Everytime in fulfilling this task. Not only does it serve as a helpful app for your university life in Korea, but it also offers a forum for students within your respective university to connect with one another. You may obtain important information, learn practical phrases, and stay up to date with all the stuff happening in your university.
2. Coupang 쿠팡
If you’re an avid online shopper in Korea, I’d assume that you’ve heard about Coupang. Coupang is one of the top-ranking applications where you can get daily necessities from. From groceries to gadgets, Coupang has almost everything. Not only does Coupang offer a wide range of offerings, but the app is also renowned for its rocket shipment. Items ordered within the rocket shipment category will be delivered the very next day. At the same time, if you sign up for their WOW membership, you’ll be entitled to purchase items from Coupang Fresh (veggies, fruits, dairy, and meat, etc.) as well. I’ll highly recommend this to those who cook often. Of course, we cannot forget about the food delivery applications! It is said that Baedal Minjok is used by more than 10 million people on a monthly basis. After residing in the dorm for a year, I realized that food delivery is an integral part of any student’s life. Be it a gathering with your friends, orientation, MT, or any other event within the university, I can assure you that you’ll find the delivery app very helpful! Delicious food delivered to your doorstep as soon as possible. Other recommendable delivery apps include Yogiyo and Coupang Eats!
4. Naver Map 네이버 지도
Since we’re not local in Korea, there’ll be times when we need extra help traveling around. Naver maps help you to find the fastest route from point A to B after deciphering the traffic situation in real-time. Not only that, I used it as a platform to bookmark the places I wish to travel to during my free time. By designating a different color for cafes, restaurants, or sightseeing spots, helps me in abundance, when I’m planning for a perfect day out! I understand that some users prefer Kakao maps, so please choose one that fits your lifestyle the best!
5. Banking Applications 은행 관련 어플
Believe me, having internet banking will save you a lot of hassle! Upon applying for your bank account, I’ll encourage you to request i-banking access. This will help you to transfer money easily without having to travel to the ATM or banks physically. Beyond that, applications like ISP, PAYCO, and Kakao Pay may be of great help if you’re the one who purchases items online. Since Korea has a strict payment system, it’s quite often that you’ll be redirected to an external platform for payment. Therefore, having these applications on your smartphones will definitely help you in saving time in the long run! Plus, they’re secure too.

한국이 도시가 익숙하지 않아 길을 찾을 때는 도움이 필요한 순간이 꼭 있을 거에요. 네이버 지도는 실시간 교통 상황을 파악해서 가장 빠른 통로를 찾아주는 길찾기 기능이 있습니다. 이 외에도 자주 다니는 장소를 즐겨찾는 장소로 저장할 수 있는데요, 카페, 식당, 관광지 다 다른 색으로 정하면 일정을 계획할 때 시간 많이 아낄 수 있습니다! 네이버 지도 뿐만 아니라, 카카오 지도도 꽤 유용하니 자신과 잘 맞는 지도앱을 찾길 바랍니다.

인터넷 뱅킹이 있으면 많은 번거로움을 덜어 줄 수 있을 거예요! 은행 계정을 개설할 때는 직원에게 인터넷 뱅킹을 한번 요청해보는 것이 추천합니다. 인터넷 뱅킹 있으면 ATM, 은행에 직접 가지 않고도 돈을 쉽게 송금할 수 있습니다. 이 외에도, ISP, PAYCO, 카카오페이와 같은 어플도 온라인 거래할 때 큰 도움이 될 겁니다. 한국에서는 인터넷을 통해 결제할 때 외부이런 어플을 통해 결제가 가능한 경우가 많습니다. 이럴 때에도 어플을 미리 다운 받아놓으면 장기적으로 시간을 많이 절약할 수 있습니다!
